Another Night at Kinky's (yawn)...

Ear on Washington

Worcester Telegram and Gazette

Everyone is all agog over Kinky Friedman's big Hollywood apartment-warming, Ear reads. Things never really got going until 11 p.m., when Bob Dylan walked in and was instantly bopped on the noggin with a beer can. Slinking into a back room, Dylan warbled old favorites while Dennis Hopper threw handfuls of guacamole dip at a dart board. (He's a pretty good shot, too.) The really big moment came when Dylan, Kinky and Art Garfunkel serenaded Elliott Gould with a boozy rendition of "People." Elliott, who is Barbra Streisand's ex-husband, was not amused and called Dylan an unflattering name. Elliott was instantly bounced out, but Dylan nodded off and stayed until 7 in the morning, when Joni Mitchell drove him home. Ear spent that same night warbling old favorites at the laundromat and nobody covered it.
