From her beginning in Saskatoon to her exalted position near the top of the music world where she can hire limousines instead of riding in big yellow taxis, Joni Mitchell has certainly seen both sides of life by now. In the Superspecial Shadows and Light, CBC will present an excellent collection of Mitchell's musical works from recent years. Taped during a recent concert tour, the show will feature a selection of songs illustrating Mitchell's musical transformation from folk to rock-and-roll to jazz and pop. It will be an absolute feast for the fans of one of Canada's foremost talents. Lovers of all varieties of music will find something to enjoy in this special, which puts an absolutely superb entertainer and songwriter under the spotlight.
